CARREX stands for the CARICOM Rapid Alert System on Dangerous Goods.

This project will focus on creating an accessible Rapid Alert System on Dangerous goods.  This web-based electronic system will cover all goods with the exception of food items, pharmaceuticals and tobacco products.

CARREX was developed in response to concerns expressed over the years by consumer representatives of the need to protect consumers from unsafe products.  It was developed by the Caribbean Community Secretariat with the assistance of the European Union.
